Never Did I Ever...

...expect to spend so much damn time in Alabama.  Regular readers will no doubt remember my award winning series about Alabama from the 2011 season.  In case anyone's wondering, it's just as hot.  If not hotter.

So what am I doing here for the third time?  Well, I'm the guy on the right:

(WARNING: Some mild language)

Not really.  I'm pretty sure making people choke themselves is against our training manual. We're not supposed to swear either.  Or put people down.  So really, we can't have much fun at the cadets' expense.  This is one of the funnier things I've done.  People who went through field training will think it's slightly funnier.  The paper I stapled to the front is a demerit for him not maintaining positive control of his notebook.  I threw it in his room later, after he wrote me an apology memo for something else he did (which I red-ink corrected):

You suck

I also bawled out an entire flight for screwing over one of their flight members.  They had a formal inspection and I wasn't planning on failing anybody, but I walked into a room and found this:

I'm pretty sure that's not a military-made bed
Hospital corner isn't right, I think
Honestly, we've gone away from a lot of the bed-making and silliness, which is good.  Here they are doing a problem solving obstacle course.  I got to do something like it, but things like this are now the focus of field training instead of how much suck you can endure.  I had it easier than the classes before, and they have it better still.

She was in the circus.  Serious.
They don't run near as much as I would like, and when they do it's often a 'warrior run' which means 'god-awful slow pace as a group.'  To get around that problem, I did laps around the 400-person formation last time:

It's kind of hard to see, but if you care to, you can open it up and see where I backtrack along the route.

Well, that's all for now.  I'll keep you posted if anything exciting happens, or if I get them out on an actual run.
