I have new toys!
First and foremost, an iPhone. Sara and I were stuck with barely functioning Droid Razrs and I figured I would be getting paid for two jobs for a month so we could afford to purchase iPhones without a plan. I was expecting buyer's remorse for the wasted money but we reeeeally hated our phones. We're very happy.
That does mean no handy Google Maps of my runs as I try out some new GPS apps. I'm using the free version of MapMyRun and it seems pretty solid.
We also got one of these:

| Yes, a dualie. No, there's no news. |
It's very solid, I'm glad I spent the money on this rather than some of the other options out there. Even Sara's used it to run! She doesn't have any cartilage in one knee but she hasn't tried running since she got her FiveFingers. So far, so good.
Check it out in action:
The Monster enjoys his little walks. And he's a good workout weight. Four hills climbs in the middle of my run was enough for me.
I always find apples refreshing after a run. Apparently so does the kid (warning, four minutes long, so if you're not some sort of grandmother you might not care to watch the whole thing):
